**WHY WE CRY?**

For humans, the eyes are more than just windows to the outside world. They are also portals inward, providing others with glimpses into our inner thoughts and feelings. Of all primates, human eyes are the most conspicuous; our eyes see, but they are also meant to be seen. Our colored irises float against backdrops of white and encircle black pupils. This color contrast is not found in the eyes of most apes. According to one idea, called the cooperative eye hypothesis, the distinctive features that help highlight our eyes evolved partly to help us follow each others' gazes when communicating or when cooperating with one another on tasks requiring close contact. Apes versus human

**BE THANKFUL**

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet. He held up a sign which said: 'I am blind, please help.' There were only a few coins in the hat. A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket and dropped them into the hat. He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words. He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by would see the new words. Soon the hat began to fill up. A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy. That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were. The boy recognized his footsteps and asked, 'Were you the one who changed my sign this morning? What did you write?' The man said, 'I only wrote the truth. I said what you said but in a different way..' What he had written was: 'Today is a beautiful day and I cannot see it.' Do you think the first sign and the second sign were saying the same thing? Of course both signs told people the boy was blind. But the first sign simply said the boy was blind. The second sign told people they were so lucky that they were not blind. Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective? Moral of the Story: Be thankful for what you have. Be creative. Be innovative. Think differently and positively. Invite others towards good with wisdom. Live life with no excuse and love with no regrets. When life gives you a 100 reasons to cry, show life that you have 1000 reasons to smile. Face your past without regret. Handle your present with confidence. Prepare for the future without fear. Keep the faith and drop the fear. Great men say, 'Life has to be an incessant process of repair and reconstruction, of discarding evil and developing goodness…. In the journey of life, if you want to travel without fear, you must have the ticket of a good conscience.' The most beautiful thing is to see a person smiling… And even more beautiful is, knowing that you are the reason behind it!!!

**LACK OF SLEEP CAN CAUSE OBESITY**

We all know that feeling of the Midnight Munchies, when you're watching your favorite movie on late night HBO and you suddenly feel starving, even just a few hours past dinner. Instead of sleeping with the growing you sneak into the kitchen for a little snack, I'm guilty of this too so don't be ashamed. It's normal, and the culprit is actually your own tiny hormones, sparking late night signals tricking your mind into eating. This might sound like a one time only occurrence, but as more information on these hormones are revealed, a link between sleep deprivation and obesity can sound major alarms within usually peaceful houses. Even poor sleep habits among children can lead to obesity in adulthood.Obviously sleep isn't the only factor involved in determining obesity, exercise, food intake and genes all play together into this concept, but sleep is the most likely to be underestimated. There are two main hormones involved with food consumption and appetite regulation, and they both dramatically change while the body is at rest. The hormone leptin is immediately involved in the regulation of appetite and metabolism as well as the burning of calories. Put simply, leptin is the chemical that tells the brain when you're full, when it should burn calories and when it should create energy for the body to use. While asleep, leptin levels increase, signaling to the brain that there is enough energy available for use and there's no need for more food. When the body is sleep deprived though, the presence of leptin may have decreased significantly enough for the brain to think there's not enough energy present. This signals as the feeling of hunger, even though the need for food is not actually prevalent at that time. As a side effect, the calories ingested are stored as fat so that there will be energy when you next need it. Ghrelin is a known appetite suppressor and is almost the complete opposite of leptin, telling your brain when to eat, when to stop burning calories, and when the body should store energy as fat. Unlike leptin, ghrelin levels decrease because sleeping exerts much less energy than being awake (unless you are one of those that like to sleepwalk I guess). A lack of sleep causes the buildup of too much ghrelin, and the body thinks it's hungry. If you act on this hunger, the body stops burning the calories and stores them as fat because it thinks there is an energy shortage. "When we sleep less, our stomach secretes more of the hormone that stimulates appetite," Montplaisir explains. "And we also produce less of the hormone whose function is to reduce the intake of food." The secretion of these hormones occur during various points of the day, though most prevalent at night, and the relationship between sleep and weight could be explained by a change in the secretion of hormones that's brought on by lack of sleep.

**THANKSGIVING TURKEY**

Thanksgiving turkeys — and other poultry — are less likely to be contaminated with bacteria that can cause food poisoning if the birds chowed on natural feed ingredients, scientists have found. About 76 million cases of food poisoning occur in the United States every year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Outbreaks of various pathogens traced to spinach, peanut butter, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, and other foods have grabbed headlines in recent years. But plants aren't the only food that can become contaminated by disease-causing microbes. Meat can be just as dangerous if not handled properly "Food-borne pathogens are very prevalent in a lot of our domestic animals, and especially in poultry. The two biggest bacterial contaminants of poultry are the well-known Salmonella, and the perhaps less well-known Campylobacter, which is actually the No. 1 cause of food poisoning i in the United States and the world. Signs of food poisoning include vomiting and diarrhea. Make sure that our turkeys are well cooked...ENJOY THANKSGIVING DINNER FOLKS...

**PRES. OBAMA GOOD GESTURE***

CHICAGO President-elect Barack Obama and his wife took their daughters to work at a food bank on the day before Thanksgiving, saying they wanted to show the girls the meaning of the holiday, especially when so many people are struggling. Ten-year-old Malia and 7-year-old Sasha joined their parents to shake hands and give holiday wishes to hundreds of people who had been lined up for hours at the food bank on Chicago's south side. Sasha wore a pink stocking hat over her pigtails and Malia had on a purple striped hat as the family handed out wrapped chickens to the needy in the chilly outdoor courtyard. Those seeking food on Wednesday at St. Columbanus also received boxes with potatoes, oranges, fresh bread, peanut butter, canned goods, oatmeal, spaghetti and coffee. The president-elect, dressed casually in a leather jacket, black scarf and khaki pants, was in a jovial mood, calling out "happy thanksgiving" and telling everyone "you can call me Barack." He told reporters that he wants the girls "to learn the importance of how fortunate they are, and to make sure they're giving back." The soon-to-be first lady said the Obamas wanted to give their children "an understanding of what giving and Thanksgiving is all about." The Obama family's activities in the courtyard quickly drew the attention of schoolchildren whose windows overlooked the courtyard. They put up a sign against the glass that read: "We love our prez" and screamed when the president-elect waved to them. Obama then turned to his wife and suggested they go visit the kids. Secret Service agents, looking surprised, disappeared inside the building to accommodate his request. Minutes later, hundreds of children were brought down to the school auditorium, and Obama loped onstage as they screamed and cheered. "I just wanted to come by and wish everybody a happy Thanksgiving," he said. He then asked the children what they would be eating for Thanksgiving dinner. Turkey? Stuffing? Green beans? Sweet potato pie? SO GUYS how about you? What you have on Thanksgiving Day Dinner...

**FINALLY VATICAN FORGIVE JOHN LENNON **

Everybody know JOHN LENNON of the Beatles. According to the Vatican's newspaper has finally forgiven John Lennon for declaring that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, calling the remark a "boast" by a young man grappling with sudden fame. The comment by Lennon to a London newspaper in 1966 infuriated Christians, particularly in the United States, some of whom burned Beatles' albums in huge pyres. But time apparently heals all wounds. The remark by John Lennon, which triggered deep indignation mainly in the United States, after many years sounds only like a 'boast' by a young working-class Englishman faced with unexpected success, after growing up in the legend of Elvis and rock and roll," Vatican daily Osservatore Romano said. The article, marking the 40th anniversary of the Beatles' The White Album, went on to praise the pop band. "The fact remains that 38 years after breaking up, the songs of the Lennon-McCartney brand have shown an extraordinary resistance to the passage of time, becoming a source of inspiration for more than one generation of pop musicians," it said. Lennon was murdered in New York in 1980. Because he challenge GOD saying that Beatles is more famous than Jesus Christ.

**WHY DO DOGS DROOL?**

Slimy saliva contains digestive enzymes that help canines (and humans) break down their food. Saliva also wets the throat for a smooth snack-slide right into the belly. But that all happens inside the body. Drooling occurs when there's a saliva spill. It's simply bio mechanics: Some dogs, such as bulldogs and mastiffs, have such short snouts they have trouble containing their saliva and the leakage constantly pours out. Bow-wows with folded skin around their mouths, such as St. Bernard's, bloodhounds and Bas sett hounds, are also big dippers.

**ONE OF A KIND**

Before I got Laptop as gift from my hubby I always dreaming to have a light and thin one but unfortunately its quite expensive so I promise to myself once I work I will give myself the gift I want. And now I saw this cuteeee one, I LOVE IT... Who will not fall in love for 2.4lbs laptop? Toshiba Portégé R500-S5007V2.4 lbs. The paperback edition of War & Peace, a bottle of wine, the world's smallest cat--all of these things weigh more than the Portégé R500-S5007V. The neatest trick: Unlike Apple's relatively weighty 3-lb. Mac Book Air, the 2.4-lb. Toshiba includes the optical drive that the Mac Book Air lacks, while cramming in 128 gigabytes worth of storage, thanks to the world's largest capacity flash memory-based hard drive. So guys ... Ask someone to give you this beautiful gift this Christmas.

**NOAH's ARK REPLICA**

Most of US know the story behind THE NOAH'S ARK and I want to share this amazing one. Working Replica of Noah's Ark Opened In SCHAGEN, Netherlands The massive central door in the side of Noah's Ark was opened the first crowd of curious townsfolk to behold the wonder. Of course, it's only a replica of the biblical Ark , built by Dutch Creationist Johan Huibers as a testament to his faith in the literal truth of the Bible. The ark is 150 cubits long, 30 cubits high and 20 cubits wide. That's two-thirds th e length of a football field and as high as three-story house. Life-size models of giraffes, elephants, lions, crocodiles, zebras, bison and other animals greet visitors as they arrive in the main hold. A contractor by trade, Huibers built the ark of cedar and pine. Biblical Scholars debate exactly what the wood used by Noah would have been. Huibers did the work mostly with his own hands, using modern tools and with occasional help from his son Roy Construction began in May 2005. On the uncovered top deck - not quite ready in time for the opening - will come a petting zoo, with baby lambs and chickens, and goats, and one camel. Visitors on the first day were stunned. Its past comprehension', said Mary Louise Starosciak, who happened to bicycling bywith her husband while on vacation when they saw the ark looming over the local landscape. 'I knew the story of Noah, but I had no idea the boat would have been so big.' There is enough space near the keel for a 50-seat film theater where ki ds can watch a video that tells the story of Noah and his ark. Huibers, a Christian man, said he hopes the project will renew interest in Christianity in the Netherlands , where church going has fallen dramatically in the past 50 years. Now that I am old and gray...give me the time to tell this new generation (and their children too)about all about all you mighty miracles. Psalm 71:18 ***psalm 71:18 EVEN I AM OLD AND GRAY,DO NOT FORSAKE ME OH GOD,TILL I DECLARE YOUR POWER TO THE NEXT GENERATION, YOU MIGHT ALL WHO ARE COME.

**REMEMBERING TILAPIA**

Its a quite boring, snowy day. Were here at service plaza in Youngstown, Ohio. Thanks we have AT&T connection here at least I can sit down on my laptop at the same time checking some of my husband photos during his first visit in the Philippines. And its so funny because when he is in the Philippines for 2 months he stay in the house with my aunt because I'm working. So that time I hire my sister to cook for him in daily basis. This is one of his regular meal, she make a simple fried tilapia and my husband don't know what is tilapia, he's not even aware that it exist also here in america. He thought its a "free historic animal". Can you beleive that.
But after I came here and first time i go to WALMART i find some tilapia in a big package (but its frozen not like tilapia in Pinas usually fresh and still alive). and I introduce it to my husband. And finally we always buy tilapia here and he love it.
{Sorry I cut it in a wrong way...LOL)

**TYPHOID OUTBREAK IN PHILIPPINES**

My Husband always surf about the Philippines, and any important news he let me know and sometimes we call my family to confirm any important news in my country. And one headlines is about the typhoid outbreak. PHILIPPINES. MANILA (AFP) – The Philippine military has mobilised medical teams to help fight an outbreak of typhoid fever that has left more than 100 people hospitalised northeast of Manila, according to the military. Teams of doctors, nurses and laboratory technicians as well as equipment will be sent to the towns of Real and Infanta in Quezon Province to help contain the outbreak, it said. The Department of Health on Wednesday confirmed that contaminated water from a stream was the main source of the outbreak. "The armed force of the Philippines is committed to giving its full support to government efforts to address this health situation in Quezon," armed forces chief of staff General Alexander Yano said in a statement. Typhoid is a bacterial disease spread by food or drink contaminated with the faeces or urine of infected people.

**5 KEYS TO HAPPINESS**

Sometimes we say were HAPPY but deep inside were not. Even after we watch funny movie, we still unhappy. Here in America alone there are more than 20 million Americans diagnosed with depressions, or maybe I , YOU or maybe our FRIENDS are one of them. There some ways , some admittedly challenging - to help much-needed mood boost: 1. Pick good parents In Happy Land, genes trump environmental factors, according to the experts. And a study in the March issue of the journal Psychological Science scores another point for the gene team: Differences in DNA that could explain why some people tend to have an extra bounce in their step might also underlie the tendency to be more emotionally stable and socially and physically active. Genes do not provide free passes from the doldrums, and other external factors will still try to mow you down. But, heredity could provide some people with a horde of happiness that they can draw from when the good times aren’t rolling. And Canadian researchers' ability to genetically stifle depression in mice in 2006 indicates that human happiness could one day be improved by manipulating genes. This was the first time science throttled the throes of any organism. 2. Give it away It only takes $5 spent on others to make you happier on a given day, according to a 2008 study. And selfless acts can also help your marriage become a more enjoyable experience for you and your spouse. After performing good deeds, people are happier and feel their life has more purpose. But is the act selfless if you expect something in return? Maybe it just depends on how you look at it. 3. Ponder this Think of a happy place. And you, too, like your first vacation, first date place. — or overcome your own hurdle. 4. Work out Consistently breaking a sweat, along with medication and counseling can help people battling depression by sapping lonely and vulnerable feelings. Exercise improves one's state of mind in part by affecting the body's levels of two chemicals: cortisol and endorphins. The adrenal glands of angry or scared people produce cortisol. This increases blood pressure and blood sugar, weakens the immune response and can lead to organ inflammation and damage. But working out burns cortisol, restoring the body's normal levels. Running, biking or using an aerobic exercise machine also causes the brain to release endorphins — the body's natural pain relievers — into the bloodstream. The body fore goes the negative side effects of drugs while still experiencing a natural high. To gain the most from your workout, make sure its intensity reflects your stress level. And challenge your body to continually adapt by varying the exercise’s length and intensity. (SO ALWAYS MAKE OUR BODY SWEAT..) 5. Live long If you have the right genes and are selfless, optimistic and active but still find yourself down in the dumps, just give it some time. Happiness, it seems, takes time. AND YOU CAN FIND TRUE HAPPINESS THROUGH GOD.
