Isn’t it strange that when the sun slips away and trades its place with darkness, a barrage of negative thoughts can assail you as Satan uses our minds as a breeding ground for imaginations. What could be tomorrow’s triumphs are viewed instead as tomorrow’s terrors.
Suddenly, a task you are facing tomorrow seems impossible. There is someone you must see whom you feel you cannot face, or a decision you must make that tonight seems beyond your experience or expertise.
Whatever the reason for tonight’s terrors, they can become tomorrow’s triumphs. How? The Bible tells us the simple secret: So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow. Live one day at a time (Matthew 6:34, TLB).
Read this verse over and over until the promise of God’s provision for your anxieties sinks deep into your spirit, and you know that God Himself is in control of tonight and tomorrow.
You have only this moment of time in your keeping. You have already lived yesterday and tomorrow is not here yet. Your tomorrow is turned to triumph when you give it over to God!
