There comes a time for each of us when we find ourselves bent low with the weight of life’s burdens.
It may be spiritual conflicts one after another until, in desperation, we cry out to God for relief. Believing we cannot take another crisis, we become consumed with fear when that relief is not forthcoming.
Isn’t it marvelous that God knows exactly how much we can bear, and never lets us be tried beyond what we can handle.
But tonight you may be saying, “But, God already gave me more that I can bear!” My friend, it may seem that way now, but God has provided a way for you to lighten your load!
He tells us to give Him those burdens, the concerns that weigh us down, because He knows that they are too much for us to bear:
Cast your burden upon the Lord (releasing the weight of it) and He will sustain you; He will never allow the (consistently) righteous to be moved – made to slip, fall or fail” (Psalm 55:22, AMP). He carries the weight. He lightens the load.
Tell Him right now what you cannot handle and give it to Him. You may still have the problems, but He will show you new ways to handle it, or gently change the situation to relieve the pressure. However He chooses to do it, you can be assured that burdens given to Jesus will lighten your load...
