Have you ever experienced the deep, indescribable sleep that comes from knowing that you have poured you heart out to the Lord that day?
If there is one person in the Bible I believe must have had very sweet dreams, it was Mary, the woman who poured the most valuable thing she had (a flask of costly oil) out on the Lord. It was a gesture that came from the bottom of her heart!
You might be wondering, "What does pouring my heart out to Him have to do with sleeping well?" I have found that it's a matter of obedience, and the Lord rewards obedience with rest. In the first commandment we are told to love Him with all our heart, mind, soul and strength. When you obey, He gives His beloved sleep.
But serene sleep isn't the only blessing that will be poured out on you. He tells us, "And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God...the LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you" (Deuteronomy 28:2, 8, NKJV).
As we lie down on our bed, ask the Lord, "How can we give our heart to You tomorrow?" You will find that opening our heart to Him means opening the door to sweet dreams!Happy Sunday Everyone..

I can't help but agree with such a heart-felt joy. I don't know what it is but personally I've felt it too, when we submit ourselves to the Lord, it seems that there is much contentment and peace. And I think that's one of the reasons why we are able to sleep more soundly, that is being contented and at peace with ourselves, others and to HIM.
