GOD IS FAITHFUL

I cannot remember a time when Christ has not been faithful to me. I could sit and tell you hour after hour the wonderful ways in which He has shown His love. He has been my constant Companion when I dont have anybody beside me. God is always with me when I dont have nothing. I remember when I kneeling down beside my bed one night having devotions and saying, "Lord, I know You have Your hand on me for service. I don't know where You want me to serve You or how; but whatever it is, I am willing to do it." I also cried out from my heart to the Lord that night. "Even if it means being alone, I am willing to be alone." I was that committed to being in His will. The Lord has never, for one moment, failed me in any way. He has been Friend, Comforter, and my Source of joy and strength. Yet, the Lord is faithful and He will strengthen (you) and set you upon a firm foundation and guard you from the evil (one). Be faithful to your commitment to Him. Honor Him with your life, be obedient to His Word and sensitive to His voice, and He will be faithful to meet all your needs and bless you abundantly...

NEVER ALONE

There are times in this modern society full of busyness and rush when, in spite of the crowds that may press in around us, we are gripped with the terrible pain of loneliness. It seems ludicrous and contradictory to exist in the midst of masses of people and yet feel so alone. But, this is a sad fact of our times. Invisible walls are erected as people struggle through life trying to avoid any additional commitment or responsibility which would tax their already over-taxed schedules and their over-extended emotional and physical resources. Many times, wrapped in self-pity, we fail to appreciate the One Who draws near and always goes with us. It is through the knowledge of His everlasting presence that we can transform the insecurity of loneliness into the security of aloneness with God. Pour out your loneliness to this Friend Who is closer than a brother. You will find that Jesus will share Himself with you in a new and deeper relationship. The captivity of loneliness will be overcome, and you will experience a new joy in His fellowship and companionship as your personal Friend. With our finite minds it is hard to comprehend that there is a Friend Whose love is infinite – Whose love cannot be earned. How then can you measure this love without price? And here is how to measure it: The greatest love is when a person lays down his life for his friends.

ONE STEP AHEAD

Have you ever considered the importance, in warfare, of having a good spy network, intelligence, CIA? With a better spy network there might never have been a Pearl Harbor or Vietnam. All truth is parallel. If we want victory to avoid spiritual Pearl Harbors, we must learn to receive information from God's master spy network, the Holy Spirit. ...whatsoever he (the Holy Spirit of God) shall hear; that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come . God wants us forewarned of the enemy's plots, so we can delight in His loving, watchful care. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird..." (Proverbs 1:17), when God tips you off as to what your enemies are planning. He did it for David as he prayed (I Samuel 23:12). He did it for King Jehoram through the prophet. He did it for Paul through his nephew (Acts 23:16). He did it for Morris in Madras, India, through a strong witness in his spirit. God revealed to him the strategy the Hindu priests planned to use to destroy the crusade. But the Word tells us God's spy network can also function In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men...Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction (Job 33:15, 16). Jesus never met Satan by chance and never met him unprepared. The sweetest dreams we can have are those in which God unveils to us the truth we need to defeat our spiritual enemies.

PROBLEM SOLVER

Do you have a problem on your mind ? Is it weighing so heavily that you cannot relax enough to sleep? Has the enemy convinced you that there is no solution? Nonsense! There is no problem made by man or devil that God cannot solve on your behalf. Get your eyes off the bigness of your problem and put them on the bigness of your God! If you keep your eyes on your problem, the devil will use your circumstances to defeat you. Determine that this problem will be a doorway to new growth in your life, that somehow God will turn the situation around to glorify Himself. Determine that not only will your needs be met, but that you will find the character of God blossoming forth in you because this difficult experience has driven you closer to Him. Remember that when you give your problem to the Lord, just because you don't see an immediate change it doesn't mean that God is not in control. There may be people He is dealing with and situations that must transpire before you see His behind-the-scenes handiwork revealed. God has an answer to every problem, no matter how great the struggle or how deep the pain. Cry out to Him in your need and know that His help is on the way even this very night. The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles .

FACE TO FACE

In this busy life we lead, distractions can pull us away from our favorite spot, kneeling at the feet of our Lord. Is this one of those evenings when the Lord seems as though He’s far away? Even those of us who love Him very dearly can have times when He seems more distant and less real to us than we would like. We need to recognize how the enemy will try to cloud our vision of the Lord, make Him seem less omnipotent, less merciful than we know He is. Go to Him tonight in prayer, study His precious promises, sing a song of praise to Him and begin to feel yourself drawing near to Him again. For He does not move away from us. If we are not near Him, it is because we have drawn away. Don’t be discouraged if His face does not seem clear to you tonight, beloved. Hold fast to the glorious promise we have been given that because we know Him and love Him and acknowledge Him as the Lord of the Universe, no matter how close or far we feel from our Savior tonight, we will someday see Him in all His glory! “In the same way, we can see and understand only a little about God now, as if we were peering at his reflection in a poor mirror, but someday we are going to see him in his completeness, face to face” .

DID YOU EVERY QUESTIONED GOD WHY?

Have you ever questioned God? Have you ever asked Him why He did something one way instead of another? Have you ever presented Him with alternate plans that certainly seemed more logical to you? Of course you have, because you're human. Every one of us has surely questioned God at some point in our lives. We don't question God's existence or holiness or righteousness, and yet we question God's judgment because things don't work out the way we think they should or the way we want them to. If we don't like the way He works in the circumstances of our lives – even though we've supposedly yielded our lives to Him – then we complain about His fairness and question His methods. Our big problem is that we would like to get God's thinking in line with ours. But, God's Word says: For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). The secret to receiving God's best for your life – the divine solution to your problems, and the plan of total victory in all of your circumstances – is not in getting God to work things our way, but in deciding that His way is what you really want and is for your best. Remember, He has the big perspective for our life; we only see what is confronting us today. Even myself there are times that I asked God why ME.... but in the end I asked his forgiveness because I know that He knows everything...

SKIN DEEP

Do you wish you could call yourself beautiful or handsome? If you said, “Not me,” I don’t know that I’d believe you. We all want to be beautiful to look at.But what is true beauty? We look at ourselves in the mirror and we each have our own evaluation of beauty. Each person’s ideas differ according to individual taste, but God looks on our beauty with the searchlight of the Holy Spirit, and He sees an entirely different picture of beauty. God sees beauty as coming from only one place, and that is from the inner-life on the inside of our hearts. The life of Jesus Christ flowing out of us – that’s what makes us beautiful. A beautiful person can be made ugly, or an ugly person beautiful, depending on a life lived with God or without Him. If your outward appearance has been a lifelong source of concern and anxiety, then decide tonight to center instead on the real source of beauty, the renewing power of the Holy Spirit. I have seen tense people lined before their time, wrinkled by stress, blemished by anxiety. And I have seen these same people, after prayer and dedication, softened and set free, their faces changed from a hardened mask into a radiant outward manifestation of the inward joy that is the fruit of the Holy Spirit. There is no greater beauty in all the world! Always remember: “...the LORD sees not as man sees; man looks on the outward appearance but the LORD on the heart” ..

CLOSET SONG

I chuckled the other day when a friend told me about opening her husband’s “junk closet.” As she opened the door, everything you can imagine tumbled out: a fishing rod, old books, Christmas decorations, etc. Everything that caught the eye got stashed there. The result was a mess. What about our minds? Often, all the random thoughts of the day get stashed there, out of sight...until we try to go to sleep. Then everything comes tumbling out. Computer people have a saying, “garbage in – garbage out.” How true. Whatever you allow into your mind will come out in one form or another. Negative thoughts, violent images from television, useless information from the paper or a novel, gossip, etc., will all surface somehow. But God has given you power over your thoughts. He says: “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ”. Use the power God has given you to bring your thoughts into captivity tonight. Censor what you read, watch and think about. Don’t fill the “closet” of your mind with junk that will come tumbling out in the night. Keep it clean and in order, leaving you free to pray and sing to the Lord. Then your “closet song” can be His song tonight!...

TEST THE SPIRIT

I can’t tell you how many times partners tell me they have spent an entire night in anguish over a “prophecy” someone has given them which was, supposedly, “from the Lord.” Confused, distraught—and sometimes even devastated, they can’t sleep. They wonder if it really is the Lord talking to them. Often, they have doubts. If one such “word” is weighing heavily on your heart tonight, let me offer you three guidelines from God’s Word to help you discern the source of the “prophecy.” The Apostle Paul tell us, “...he who prophesies speaks edification and exhortation and comfort to men” . Let me ask you: How did you feel after receiving this “word from the Lord”...built up? Comforted? Encouraged? Exhorted? If you felt condemned, torn down or devastated, something is very wrong. Although God may sometimes warn or entreat you, His purpose through others is never to strike at you or shock you with some “revelation,” you are totally unprepared for. God is love. What was the spirit of what you were told and how was it told to you? Can you say without a doubt that it was spoken in love? Remember always to “test the spirits” to discern God’s perfect will in your life...

GOOD LIFE

Was this one of those “red letter” days? Did you feel on top of the world... full of accomplishment and joy? Is your heart singing with happiness? Praise the Lord! When we come to the end of one of those great days where everything seemed to go right and the enemy had to tuck in his tail and go hide, don’t forget to give credit where credit is due and rejoice in the Lord! Or, if this was not a particularly happy day, go back to a happy day in your memory and give praise, believing God for a happier day tomorrow. How beautiful is it when our day can reflect the “good life” that our Father would love for us to live each day! “But whatever is good and perfect comes to us from God, the Creator of all light, and he shines forever without change or shadow”. Acknowledge the Lord as the source of all the good and perfect things that happen to us. Without Him, we would not have good. The darkness of the enemy would reign and our lives would never know joy or fulfillment without His light. So, on this happy day of days, give praise! Sing aloud with the joy that comes from knowing our God is in control...

STAY POSITIVE

Do you ever have days where people have a negative effect on you? In fact, as the day continues you become more negative than positive and find your feelings changing from peaceful, happy thoughts to ones of discouragement and confusion? When bombarded by negative-speaking people, don’t respond to a negative with another negative or agree with their comments just to be accepted. People don’t always mean to be negative but they find themselves with a negative spirit before they realize it. So if you remain positive, you will help them and help yourself as well. As our Lord instructs, Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification . The Lord always has our good in mind through every situation that we might find ourselves. In a negative experience be encouraged. Remember, it is an opportunity to minister the positive life of Jesus. The Holy Spirit will provide you with the support and wisdom you need. It is God’s will for you to grow and bless others by learning as a result of this confrontation. Walking in His strength helps us to see another’s weakness more clearly and to help us avoid adding to their troubles. Then, we are capable of listening to God’s quiet whisperings within our hearts showing us the way to minister His love and acceptance to the individual in need. As you live each day accepting challenges, and believing in God’s goodness toward you through them; each opportunity you experience really will turn into a blessing and become an encouragement to you

GUARDING THE GIFTS

Do you feel of little value tonight? Do you feel like everyone else is more witty, knowledgeable, loveable or talented than you are? Satan loves to encourage us to look at ourselves in distorted mirrors, seeing only what we dislike about ourselves – our shortcomings and failures – and overlooking our strong points. I doubt that anyone ever feels perfect, nor should they. Only God is perfect. But, while some people have sensational singing voices, others paint beautiful pictures, and others have exceptional physical prowess. There are none of us who are without special talents and gifts. Remember, we are individually special to God. He made us just as we are. Everything we are comes from Him and He is the giver of all good things. He has given each of us special gifts or talents meant to be used for His glory. Don’t let Satan tell you tonight that your talents are meager or unimportant. Nothing being used for God’s glory is unimportant to Him. Guard well the splendid, God-given ability you received as a gift from the Holy Spirit who lives within you. Recognize and develop your God-given talents, whether they be the ability to listen well, balance a budget, witness one-on-one, write poetry, bring out the best in a child with a learning disability, or build bridges. Rest comfortably this evening, knowing that the talents God has given you are important to Him.

WILL YOU?

Because we are created in the image of God, we have a free will just like Jesus did, complete with the opportunity to move with Him against the enemy. What powerful potential for a victorious life is our inheritance through the will! With free will we have all we need to honor and glorify God. We can cut off the dictates of the flesh to walk in the perfection of the spirit, choosing to serve and obey God, leaving behind all that does not honor Him. Jesus, tempted by Satan in the wilderness is an example of the human will’s potential for good over evil. Satan gave Jesus an opportunity to exercise His will for the things that would appeal to the carnal nature of any person whose will is not submitted to the will of God. But, glory be to God, Jesus chose the higher way and was as victorious over Satan’s plan of destruction as we can will to be! And Jesus answered and said to him, Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written... (Luke 4:8). You don’t have to be pushed around by Satan. God has given us all that we need through His Word and our will, but it starts with a desire to walk and will as Jesus did. Jesus couldn’t be conquered because He was predetermined to use His power through the Word, “It is written...” Jesus gave us this same free will to defeat Satan’s plans for your destruction and find peace and contentment. We can utilize this power by knowing God’s Word, lining up our lives by His commandments, and asking Him for the strength to live by those convictions. God has given you the power to choose!..

THE MASTER'S CALL

Do you desire to serve God in the special way you feel He’s calling you...to walk where He leads you knowing He has plans to use you? But, do you find yourself wondering, “Who am I, Lord? How can I, Lord?” instead of saying, as Isaiah did, Here am I; send me.” (Isaiah 6:8)? It is natural to feel both exuberance and fear in the face of God’s call, but what you are in yourself should not be your consideration. When God calls you to speak or act for Him, you don’t have to invent your message or choose your listener. When God calls, He enables. It is by His plan, in His strength, and by His Spirit that we accomplish His will! He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. God knows your inadequacies and inexperience, but still He chooses to call you. He uses willing vessels, and it is by your willingness that He receives the glory. Your weaknesses magnify His strengths. He will fill your mouth when you are speechless. Follow God’s marching orders and claim His wisdom, anointing, power and manifold blessings – all are yours when you obey the Master’s call...

TOMORROW’S TRIUMPHS TONIGHT

Isn’t it strange that when the sun slips away and trades its place with darkness, a barrage of negative thoughts can assail you as Satan uses our minds as a breeding ground for imaginations. What could be tomorrow’s triumphs are viewed instead as tomorrow’s terrors. Suddenly, a task you are facing tomorrow seems impossible. There is someone you must see whom you feel you cannot face, or a decision you must make that tonight seems beyond your experience or expertise. Whatever the reason for tonight’s terrors, they can become tomorrow’s triumphs. How? The Bible tells us the simple secret: So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow. Live one day at a time (Matthew 6:34, TLB). Read this verse over and over until the promise of God’s provision for your anxieties sinks deep into your spirit, and you know that God Himself is in control of tonight and tomorrow. You have only this moment of time in your keeping. You have already lived yesterday and tomorrow is not here yet. Your tomorrow is turned to triumph when you give it over to God!

SAVE GAS AND CASH

THIS IS NOT A PAID POST..... XP3 GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL ADDITIVES. ECONOMICAL - Reduces fuel consumption and maintenance costs EFFICIENT - Disperses water and improves combustion / ECOLOGICAL - Reduces fumes and toxic emissions CONTAINS NO ALCOHOL Xp3, is formulated to improve the performance of all kinds of gasoline and diesel fuels .• Improves combustion and increases engine power • Reduces fuel consumption • Reduces levels of toxic emissions • Stabilizes light and heavy oils • Has a detergent and antioxidant effect • Reduces corrosion and increases the life of your engine • Totally disperses water in fuel • Improves engine starting and avoids pre-ignition • Improves the stabilization, lubricity and detergency of the fuel • Works with all classes of gasoline and diesel fuel • Xp3 is a combination of synthetic resins and organic compounds .• Does not contain any aromatics or naphtha • 100% biodegradable • Improves the pour point • Avoids fuel freezing during winter Why is Xp3 valuable to use in your vehicle? Today’s engine fuel delivery systems have extremely close tolerances, which means any deposit buildup will cause increase friction, such as injector chatter and pump cavitations, and results in excessive wear of the fuel system components. This operational problem in the fuel delivery system causes irregular and often incomplete injection of the required amount of fuel. The result is poor combustion, low power, with a corresponding tendency for the driver to downshift the transmission and step on the accelerator to maintain power and speed. Fuel treated with Xp3 will eliminate these problems and maximize engine fuel efficiency! Today's diesel fuel efficiency is affected by the amount of contamination present, the stability characteristics, and the lubrication value of the fuel. While none of these fuel conditions typically are major issues regarding fuel efficiency, each one plays a part in the entire fuel efficiency picture. As the status of these conditions deteriorates (contamination increases, stability decreases, or lubricity value lessens), the fuel efficiency (fuel-economy) will be negatively impacted. Xp3 saves company over $87,000 per year! Click here to see TEST RESULTS.Xp3 significantly reduced particulate emissions (CO, Nox, SO2 and Opacity). Click here to see TEST RESULTS. Xp3 applies the polarization of the fuel molecules, creating a smoother and more stable fuel. The lubricity added by Xp3 to the fuel will resolve the problem of reduced or lack of lubricity of the fuel. FAMILY SAFETY

Guest post of the week by Brittany Booker When I was a child I remember my mom always gave me the safety speech. Do not talk to strangers, do not get into an unknown car and call for help if I found myself in a scary situation. Today these are only the basic things children need to be aware of. Technology has opened up another door for safety, but it has also caused more worry for parents and caregivers. It can be very stressful trying to protect your kids 24 hours a day. My husband and I decided we were not taking any chances and we went to http://WWW.Home-Alarm-Systems.comto find an alarm for our home. We feel safer knowing that we have that little box on the wall. My children can be downstairs and I may be upstairs and I am not worried. I think it is so cool how it works and my kids are impressed too. It is hard to get them excited by things like that because they think it is “so boring.” They are definitely fans of the alarm. Subscribe

BE NOT MOVED

The amazing account of steadfast conviction in Acts 20 reminds me of the importance of being immovable for God. In spite of repeated warnings by the Holy Spirit of the imprisonment and hardship awaiting him, Paul was hurrying to be in Jerusalem by the day of Pentecost because the same Spirit was sending him there on a ministry mission. Paul refused to be moved in his obedience to God’s will. But none of these things move me, nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God”. We all know people who, unlike Paul, have been moved from their place of commitment by greed, fear, laziness, or apathy. Oh, what they missed by moving! Paul talks of the joy that comes in addition to eternal reward from immovable obedience. This bumper sticker sums it up: “If you’re not as close to God as you used to be, guess who moved!” Let us move closer to Him Who bought us with the price of His blood. Let us plant our feet firmly on that immovable Rock, so we can say with Paul, “I shall not be moved from following my God!” We too can reap the joy that was his

STRAIGHT TALK

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Having financial crisis is a big deal for me now.  Every month I have tons of bills to pay and one bill which is really make me upset is my phone bill.  Everytime I got my bill in the mail I always surprised with all the hidden charges and I am sick of it.  Until one day my mom check on me and I vent to her about my problem. I told her about all the bills that I'm paying every month.  She laughed and promised to deposit a few dollars to my checking account, and advised me to change my cellphone carrier.

In one week, I have purchased my very own Straight Talk wireless phone from the loca store, and for starters I subscribed to the All You Need plan; that's $30 for 30 days that covers 1000 minutes, 1000 text or multimedia messages, 30 MB of data transfer for data phones and 411 calls at no additional charge. Finally I cut my  subscription to my old cellphone carriers and I dont have to worry any fees again. Now its time for me to call a friend

and help her also try what I enjoy. I know that mom knows best

 in whatever and

everything you needI've already recommended Straight Talk to my friends because unlike other providers offering so-called "quality services" that we take hook, line and sinker, unaware of the hidden charges, Straight Talk bares it all, it's everything you need-- No contracts, no hidden charges, all quality services. LIGHTENING THE LOAD

There comes a time for each of us when we find ourselves bent low with the weight of life’s burdens. It may be spiritual conflicts one after another until, in desperation, we cry out to God for relief. Believing we cannot take another crisis, we become consumed with fear when that relief is not forthcoming. Isn’t it marvelous that God knows exactly how much we can bear, and never lets us be tried beyond what we can handle. But tonight you may be saying, “But, God already gave me more that I can bear!” My friend, it may seem that way now, but God has provided a way for you to lighten your load! He tells us to give Him those burdens, the concerns that weigh us down, because He knows that they are too much for us to bear: Cast your burden upon the Lord (releasing the weight of it) and He will sustain you; He will never allow the (consistently) righteous to be moved – made to slip, fall or fail” (Psalm 55:22, AMP). He carries the weight. He lightens the load. Tell Him right now what you cannot handle and give it to Him. You may still have the problems, but He will show you new ways to handle it, or gently change the situation to relieve the pressure. However He chooses to do it, you can be assured that burdens given to Jesus will lighten your load...

LET GOD

Ever since I can remember I’ve heard the saying, “God helps those who help themselves.” To those who don’t understand the Word of God, it sounds lofty and good because it’s really an excuse for their not wanting God in their lives. It’s also true that God does expect us to do what He places before us to do. God is not pleased with our shirking any responsibilities that are ours to do. However, there comes a time when, in our own self-confidence and zeal, we keep pushing ahead, only to find our efforts resulting in frustration and emptiness. The problem may be that you have tried to help God instead of letting Him help you. At times, God may need to demonstrate to us our need for His ability in our life. To remind us that He is our source of creativeness, strengths, and wisdom: for in Him we live and move and have our being as also some of your own poets have said, “For we are also His offspring” (Acts 17:28 KJV). The glory and honor should go to Him when we experience success

HARD PLACES

One day, a friend came to me, crying desperately, saying that her present situation was more than she could endure. She had been put in a hard place and wanted an immediate way of escape. Are you in a hard place today? Are you asking yourself, as my friend did, what possible glory God could derive from such a devastating experience? Let me encourage you with the answer I gave my friend. I know it was a word from the Lord because it set her free and gave her the peace she was lacking. I encourage you to use these words as a key to healing in your own hard place. I told my friend, “Just because it’s a hard place, don’t be so sure that God didn’t allow you there for a purpose. You cannot see God’s whole plan now, but be sure that He has a beautiful purpose to unfold. You may not know what He is preparing you for, but you dare not miss it.” Think about how dark a mine is – as dark as the hard place you are now in—yet, it has the capacity to produce the most brilliant of gems. Just like the mining process, our hardest trials can produce our dearest treasures.”...

MIRROR PERFECT

What is your self-image? Do you think you are special, or just so-so? Do you see yourself as capable or as a dismal failure? Do you think you qualify for promotion, or feel you’ll never get ahead? The comparison could go on, touching every area of life, but chances are you aren’t seeing yourself in God’s “mirror of perfection”: and, therefore, have a distorted view. Some things we can’t see, no matter how keen our eyesight, unless we look into a mirror. There are also some things we can’t see with our spiritual vision unless we look into the “mirror” of God’s Word and see ourselves reflected there. That image is all the better with the brightness of the Holy Spirit turned on you. And all of us, as with unveiled face, (because we) continued to behold (in the Word of God) as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; (for this comes) from the Lord (Who is) the Spirit . The Bible tells us that we are the righteousness of God in Christ, created in His image. This “perfection” is something we can’t see with our eyes, but rejoice, for this is how our loving God sees you – right now! So, beloved, take out that spiritual looking glass and take another peek. See yourself as God sees you... transformed into a winner by His mirror of perfection.

BLUE PRINT FOR SUCCESS

There is a blueprint for success that is far more profitable than any book or seminar that is presently available. It is a blueprint that far surpasses the success strategies of any modern method in existence. There is no price too high to pay for the wisdom contained in this blueprint. If you apply its principles in your life, you will be guaranteed prosperity and success. I can just hear you saying, “Let me at it! Where can I get this blueprint?” Hold on, my friend, I will wager that you already own this blueprint. It is called the Bible, otherwise known as the Word of God. This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success” (Joshua 1:8). Down through centuries of time God has preserved His blueprint for man to read and apply to his life. It is filled with guidelines for success and victory in every area of life. There is hardly a problem or need that is not addressed or a question that is not answered by a careful study of the Bible. God tells us that to gain the full benefits of His Word we are to have it so imbedded in our mind and hearts that it becomes our words and our actions. Make it a part

GOD, WHY?

Have you ever questioned God? Have you ever asked Him why He did something one way instead of another? Have you ever presented Him with alternate plans that certainly seemed more logical to you? Of course you have, because you’re human. Every one of us has surely questioned God at some point in our lives. We don’t question God’s existence or holiness or righteousness, and yet we question God’s judgment because things don’t work out the way we think they should or the way we want them to. If we don’t like the way He works in the circumstances of our lives – even though we’ve supposedly yielded our lives to Him – then we complain about His fairness and question His methods. Our big problem is that we would like to get God’s thinking in line with ours. But, God’s Word says: For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts (Isaiah 55:9). The secret to receiving God’s best for your life – the divine solution to your problems, and the plan of total victory in all of your circumstances – is not in getting God to work things our way, but in deciding that His way is what you really want and is for your best. Remember, He has the big perspective for your life; we only see what is confronting us today...

WASH ME

Have you ever gone to bed feeling almost unclean after listening to the details of someone's troubled personal life? Heartfelt confessions and innermost secrets come tumbling out as people come to us for comfort, help and relief. I don't think we fully realize how much these soul-baring tales affect us until we go to bed at night. Then every sordid detail looms up on the screen of our minds, causing unrest. If this describes you, then God has the perfect solution for you to be mentally, emotionally and spiritually refreshed. He says, "Let Me cleanse you." As He told Peter, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with (in) Me – no share in companionship with Me...Anyone who is bathed needs not to wash except his feet, but is clean all over" . What do your feet do? They are the part of your body that takes you (spiritually) to where they are, as you walk with them in their misery or darkness. That is why, as you go to bed tonight, Jesus wants to cleanse your feet. He wants to relieve you of all the mental pictures or other muck you may have been trampling around in. He longs to cleanse you so you can spend the night in sweet, peaceful companionship with Him in its entirety:

ANCHOR OF LOVE

HOPE
Have you ever ended your evening prayers by silently thinking, "I sure prayed hard over this. I hope that it works!" Although God's Word talks a lot about hope, I don't believe this is the kind of hope He means. Webster defines hope as being "desire accompanied by expectation or belief in fulfillment." When we hope in this way, what a glory it is to God! What freedom and joy there is in expecting and believing that our prayers will be fulfilled. This kind of hope gives tremendous energy to our prayers. The book of Hebrews confirms this fact by saying that godly hope actually propels us into Christ's presence "behind the veil." "...we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us. This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil" There is power in true hope! Unlike wishful thinking, there is also stability and assurance, a combination which can send your spirit soaring into the very presence of God. Lay hold of God's way of hoping now. When you do, your life will never be the same.

HOLD PAST

Countless Christians lie awake night after night tormented by the question, “What has happened? I thought I won that battle. Why is it happening all over again?” “Common sense” would tell us that once we wage war with the enemy in a particular area and win, that the victory is over forever – right? Wrong. Satan doesn’t operate that way. As the enemy of our souls, he doesn’t play by the rules. He has come to steal and to destroy, and nothing will stop him from at least attempting to take every one of your victories back! Understand that the victory is still yours; Satan is just trying to regain some territory by making you think you never really won in the first place! Jesus warned us this would happen. He said, “Hold fast what you have, so that no one may rob you and deprive you of your crown” . What “territory” of your life is Satan trying to regain a foothold in tonight? Is he using some incident of the day to entice you to jealousy, anger, resentment, hate, fear, insecurity or mistrust? Hold fast to your victories. Don’t let Satan steal your crown! Rise up tonight and make your victory secure... Rise up brother and sister...With God we have our victories..

MANAGEMENT BY VISION

Have you ever heard the term "Management by Objective" used in business to describe the integration of a worker's personal goals with those of his company? I believe that God, like the president of a large company, wants us to utilize these goal-setting tools in the building of His Kingdom. But it's hard to be excited about setting goals if you don't have a clear vision of what God wants to accomplish through us! Has lack of vision and, thus, lack of objectives subtly haunted us, night after night, as we've wondered just where we going with God? God has two sets of visions for each one of us. The first is His overall vision that applies to every one of His children. The second is that unique, personal vision of what we, as individuals, are to do. God described His "general" vision for everyone to the Apostle Paul. Referring to the unsaved, Paul said it was, "To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in me. Wherefore...I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision" Pray for God to give us a revelation, deep in our spirit, of the vision He has for us. Once you are under God's "Management by Vision," we'll be surprised how easy "Management by Objective" will be.

TYRANNY OF MOODS

"It takes commitment to be filled with joy. In fact, it takes the dedication of your whole life." My first reaction was, "Isn't joy something that God just gives you? But, as I thought about it, I realized she was right; it does take dedication and commitment to live a joyful life. Why? Because it's so easy to be ruled by the tyranny of our moods! Before we know it, the "I-don't-feel-like-its" can ruin your prayer life, praise life and fruitfulness. What about you? Have you gone to bed tonight completely dominated by one mood or another...so "wound up" that you can't get to sleep...so low that you never want to get up again? If so, God wants to give you a precious gift tonight. He wants to give you a new attitude toward overcoming these moods. He wants you to welcome them as opportunities to take control, His way. Remember that learning to rule and reign with Jesus starts with learning to "rule" our own souls! Jesus promises, "To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life...He who overcomes will not be hurt at all by the second death...To him who overcomes, I will give some of the hidden manna...I will give authority over the nations...I will make a pillar in the temple of my God...He who overcomes will inherit all this..." THE NEW WINE

Ever since the book of Exodus was written, God's people have wondered, "Did God really harden Pharaoh's heart, and if so, why and how?" I don't believe God did it through any mysterious, hidden means...but simply by showing him increasing amounts of His miracle-working power! Not about to submit to anyone but himself, the more Pharaoh saw, the more he wanted no part of God or His power. So, what does this mean to those of us who can't sleep sometimes? It might be very significant if our sleeplessness stems from having attended a service where the power of God was particularly strong and having come away with a negative reaction. Perhaps, instead of rejoicing, a part of us recoiled the same way Pharaoh did. Pulling back, we might have thought, "Leave me alone. I'm not ready for this yet!" Jesus predicted that each one of us would experience an initial, negative reaction to His power when He said, "...no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins, and both are preserved. And no one, having drunk old wine, immediately desires new; for he says, The old is better" But, although we may have initially retreated and said, "The old is better!" the challenge now is not to remain frightened or to harden our heart forever, as Pharaoh did. Instead, be open to growth, pass through this stage, and begin to anticipate the opportunity to go on even further.
