WRINKLES, WRINKLES?

Just recently, I noticed some lines in my face skin especially under the eyes. I worried right away and asked myself in front of the mirror, is it a sign of aging? Is it wrinkles? Oh no! I do not like what I saw. I am not old enough to have this problem. It gives me more worries especially now that I am starting to look for a job. I need clearer skin. As clear as possible. Therefore, I called right away my friend and started to talk with her about it. She just laughed and said that having wrinkles was once a problem of hers but not anymore. So, I asked her what she did because I know that she has beautiful skin and no marks or any wrinkles in spite of the fact that she is five years older than I am. She recommended one product that is really working well for her. After I hung up the phone, I checked right away for their website Dermajuv Complete Rejuvenation System and I found out how it works.

WEEKENDS SNAPSHOTS

In our neighborhood there are two geese that are always hanging around. They are like a couple that is always together wherever they go so we named them Lunch and Dinner. My husband sometimes teases them by chasing, and sometimes pretending that he wants to catch them. Sometimes I wonder if he is joking when he says that if things get critical around here in the big city, here is one known easy food source. He says that they would taste allot like duck. As it is now they are a bit of a hindrance as they defecate all over the place. Thank God that there are no dogs allowed here because the mixture of dog poop and goose turd's would certainly overcome the neighborhood completely! You can see on the video below. It is so funny right?

WHAT YOU WANT TO BE?

God Created the Donkey:
and said to him. "You will be a donkey. You will work un-tiringly from sunrise to sunset carrying burdens on your back. You will eat grass, you will have no intelligence and you will live 50 years." The donkey answered:"I will be a donkey, but to live 50years is much. Give me only 20years" God granted his wish
God created the dog
and said to him: "You will guard the house of man. You will be his best Friend. You will eat the scraps that he gives you andyou will live 30years. You will be a dog. " The dog answered: "Sir, to live 30years is too much, give me only15 years. " God granted his wish.
God Created the monkey
and said to him: "You will be a monkey. You will swing from branch to branch doing tricks. You will be amusing and you will live 20 years. " The monkeyanswered:"To live 20years is too much, give me only 10years."God granted his wish. AND FINALLY GOD CREATED MAN and said to him: "You will be man, the only rational creature on the face of the earth. You will use your intelligence to become master over all the animals. You will dominate the world and you will live 20years. " Man responded: "Sir, I will be a man but to live only20 years is very little, give me the 30years that the donkey refused, the 15years that the dog did not want and the 10years the monkey refused. " God granted man's wish ............ ......... ......... ......... ......... ......... ....... And since then, man lives 20 years as a man , marries and spends30 years like a donkey, working and carrying all the burdens on his back. Then when his children are grown, he lives 15years like a dog taking care of the house and eating whatever is given to him, so that when he is old, he can retire and live 10years like a monkey, going from house to house and from one son or daughter to another doing tricks to amuse his grandchildren.
That's Life.

MY FIRST TIME

It is been almost a year since I started looking for job. Applying online is mostly what I do. Today I had my very first interview in one staffing agency here in NYC. I almost could not sleep last night. Before the interview I was so nervous. I was wondering what style of interview they have here in the US. In the Philippines I was used to it because almost every day I would interview many applicants for my old job. My husband gives me moral support, he said be yourself and have self-confidents. Therefore, I woke up early, prepared myself, and was ready to go. My husband accompanied me to the place of interview because I am not yet familiar with how to ride the train going to Manhattan. The picture above is in the train station. First, we bought a subway card and then were heading to the location at 44th st. The interview goes great. I pass the hands on test and then the interview itself. Because it is only a staffing agency I had to wait for any employer who will choose my resume of all the applicants on that particular position. Ohh, I hope I will get a job soon.

FRIDAY THE 13TH

Do you believe that Friday the 13th is bad luck? I do not believe it. I believe on one God Jesus Christ. Anyway, I want to share to you some article I read about Friday the 13th. If Friday the 13th is unlucky, then 2009 is an unusually unlucky year. This week's Friday the 13th is one of three to endure this year. The first came last month. The next is in November. Such a rare triple-threat occurs only once every 11 years. Friday the 13th 3 will happen again on the year 2015 and year 2026. Like this year 2009, Friday the 13th’s on those year will have Feb, March and November. In 2012, Friday the 13th’s will fall on the months of January, April and July. The truth is any month that begins on a Sunday will have Friday the 13th. Read More about it.
The origin of the link between bad luck and Friday the 13th is murky. The whole thing might date to Biblical times (the 13th guest at the Last Supper betrayed Jesus). By the Middle Ages, both Friday and 13 were considered bearers of bad fortune. In modern times, the superstition permeates society. Here are five of our favorite Friday-the-13th facts: 1. Fear of Friday the 13th — one of the most popular myths in science — is called paraskavedekatriaphobia as well as friggatriskaidekaphobia. Triskaidekaphobia is fear of the number 13. 2. Many hospitals have no room 13, while some tall buildings skip the 13th floor and some airline terminals omit Gate 13. 3. President Franklin D. Roosevelt would not travel on the 13th day of any month and would never host 13 guests at a meal. Napoleon and President Herbert Hoover were also triskaidekaphobic, with an abnormal fear of the number 13. 4. Mark Twain once was the 13th guest at a dinner party. A friend warned him not to go. "It was bad luck," Twain later told the friend. "They only had food for 12." Superstitious diners in Paris can hire a quatorzieme, or professional 14th guest. 5. The number 13 suffers from its position after 12, according to numerologists who consider the latter to be a complete number — 12 months in a year, 12 signs of the zodiac, 12 gods of Olympus, 12 labors of Hercules, 12 tribes of Israel, 12 apostles of Jesus, 12 days of Christmas and 12 eggs in a dozen.

TAKE MY SON

I want to share a story that surely will touch your heart. A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art. When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son. About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man held out this package. 'I know this isn't much. I'm not really a great artist, but I think your son would have wanted you to have this.' The father opened the package. It was a portrait of his son, painted by the young man. He stared in awe at the way the soldier had captured the personality of his son in the painting. The father was so drawn to the eyes that his own eyes welled up with tears. He thanked the young man and offered to pay him for the picture. 'Oh, no sir, I could never repay what your son did for me. It's a gift.' The father hung the portrait over his mantle. Every time visitors came to his home he took them to see the portrait of his son before he showed them any of the other great works he had collected. The man died a few months later. There was to be a great auction of his paintings. Many influential people gathered, excited over seeing the great paintings and having an opportunity to purchase one for their collection. On the platform sat the painting of the son. The auctioneer pounded his gavel.. 'We will start the bidding with this picture of the son. Who will bid for this picture?' There was silence. Then a voice in the back of the room shouted, 'We want to see the famous paintings. Skip this one.' But the auctioneer persisted. 'Will somebody bid for this painting? Who will start the bidding? $100, $200?' Another voice angrily. 'We didn't come to see this painting. We came to see the Van Gogh's, the Rembrandts. Get on with the real bids!' But still the auctioneer continued. 'The son! The son! Who'll take the son?' Finally, a voice came from the very back of the room.. It was the longtime gardener of the man and his son. 'I'll give $10 for the painting..' Being a poor man, it was all he could afford. 'We have $10, who will bid $20?' 'Give it to him for $10. Let's see the masters.' The crowd was becoming angry. They didn't want the picture of the son. They wanted the more worthy investments for their collections. The auctioneer pounded the gavel. 'Going once, twice, SOLD for $10!' A man sitting on the second row shouted, 'Now let's get on with the collection!' The auctioneer laid down his gavel. 'I'm sorry, the auction is over.' 'What about the paintings?' 'I am sorry. When I was called to conduct this auction, I was told of a secret stipulation in the will. I was not allowed to reveal that stipulation until this time. Only the painting of the son would be auctioned. Whoever bought that painting would inherit the entire estate including the paintings. The man who took the son gets everything!' God gave His son 2,000 years ago to die on the cross. Much like the auctioneer, His message today is: 'The son, the son, who'll take the son?' Because, you see, whoever takes the Son gets everything. FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD HE GAVE HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, WHO SO EVER BELIEVETH, SHALL HAVE ETERNAL LIFE...THAT'S LOVE . Don't forget "GOD IS EVERYTHING".

NYC PARKING STYLE

One thing that I hate every time we visit my in-laws here in NYC is the parking scenario. You can see in the picture how bad the parking is. My in-laws live in Coop City. Co-op City is the largest cooperative housing development in the world.[1] It is located in the Baychester section of the Borough of the Bronx in northeast New York City. Situated at the intersection of Interstate 95 and the Hutchinson River Parkway. The community is part of Bronx Community Board 10. If it were a distinct municipality, instead of part of Bronx County, it would be the 10th largest "city" in New York State. Having a good parking spot is always a dream so we make a point of getting home as early as we can. The parking picture was taken last Sunday after we had dinner with friends. Actually we don’t use our car after Saturday when we park. We always use my in-laws car.

ANOTHER SNOWY DAY?

It looks like another winter. We had enjoyed already a week of beautiful, sunny days. However, this morning when we got up we are very surprised to see snow on the road. I hate the coldness, it makes me lazy to go out, but the fact is that winter is worse in Michigan compared to here in New York. I hope that it will last for only a short time, and I will again enjoy sunny days.
