When you pray, do you feel positively assured that God is listening? Many of you have doubts. In fact, you may even let these doubts be the reasons you do not pray very much, especially at night when you are tired.
"I'm afraid He won't answer." "He answers others' prayers but I'm not sure He'll answer mine." "I don't feel I should bother Him with my petty needs." The variations are many, but the underlying fear hindering many from laying all your requests before God is fear that He won't respond.
Have you ever talked to someone who looked over your shoulder at someone else while you were speaking? You feel like saying, "Look, when you want to listen, then I'll speak." Are you viewing God the same way? Are you thinking of Him as being too busy with "important people" or too impersonal to care about or listen to your little woes? Nothing could be farther from the truth. God does have empathy. He longs to listen and He promises to respond!
"And we are sure of this, that he will listen to us whenever we ask him for anything in line with his will. And if we really know he is listening when we talk to him and make our requests, then we can be sure that he will answer us. Put on a new attitude toward approaching God with your needs. You'll feel much better, knowing that He has heard, that every concern is entrusted to His capable hands, and that the answers are on their way....

HE'S LISTENING

TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS
If you were to look outside on a dark, stormy day, would you think the sun had disappeared, just because you couldn't see it? Of course not.
Yet, some of you may be beside yourselves everynight because you've failed the Lord so badly you can't imagine Him still being faithful to you. "After all," you reason, "we reap what we sow. I've hit hard times and haven't sown anything, so I guess I can't expect anything from the Lord. I don't know if I'll ever pull out of this rut."
But, as valid as God's principle of reaping and sowing is, there's another part of His Word, even more powerful, which says, "If we are faithless...He remains true (faithful to His Word and His righteous character), for He cannot deny Himself...He will surely be gracious to you at the sound of your cry; when He hears it, He will answer you" So, anytime of the day rest securely in the knowledge that there is nothing you can do to diminish His faithfulness to you, even if you haven't been faithful to Him! Believe that He will be gracious to you at the sound of your cry. When He hears it He will answer you! He understands the circumstances of your life and wants to help you draw close to Him again.
SAVOR THE TASTE OF ITALIAN CUISINE
This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.
A friend called this afternoon telling me about their plan to take a vacation. She and her husband were not able to do it during the Valentine's week because her husband was busy with work. I suggested Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing, Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel situated within the electrifying entertainment capital of the Midwest. Aside from the affordable package cost of $429.00 for 2 people, guests are given access to shops, boutiques, restaurants, and the river walk. The hotel have easy access to Branson’s championship golf courses, lakes, museums, parks and live entertainment theaters. The exciting part is bringing Italy to Missouri through the hotel's Italian Culinary Weekend. The special day kicks off on Friday night until Saturday. Guests will get a special treat of antipasto and hors d’oevres paired with great wines. Aside from great Italian cuisine, a hand cooking experience is in store for all guests on Friday evening. On Saturday evening, guests will be treated to a 5-course meal plus a goodie bag (filled with items for the home of the chef.). After talking to her about Hilton Promenade, my friend was excited to book their reservation. So folks hurry and don't let this opportunity pass...Remember reservations must be made prior to February 23, 2010.

OUR HERO
No matter what TV show you watch, what movie you see or what novel you read, it's got a "hero"...one who rescues the heroine every time, just as she's about to be consumed by the villain. The primary characteristic of these Hollywood-type heroes is courage.
Courage is admirable on the silver screen, but God has given us the most courageous Hero of them all. What Hollywood writer could even come close to portraying the courage Jesus has shown us in the spirit world's version of Star Wars?
Even in the natural realm, Jesus' courage was awesome. He didn't bat an eye when, knowing the Jews would try to kill Him for healing on the Sabbath, He healed a man anyway in front of the whole congregation! In the same relentless fashion, He refused to turn back when He was warned that Herod would kill Him if He continued on to Jerusalem: "...some Pharisees said to him, Get out of here if you want to live, for King Herod is after you!' Jesus replied, Go tell that fox that I will keep on casting out demons and doing miracles of healing today and tomorrow; and the third day I will reach my destination'"
The real "happy ending" is that Christ wants to share this very same courage with you if only you'll ask, believe and receive. So whatever our situation in this moment always remember that we have our only one hero JESUS CHRIST don't forget to ask, call and he always see us.

THE CROSS WALK
We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road that God can see and we cannot. Whatever your cross, Whatever your pain, There will always be sunshine, after the rain.... Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall; But God's always ready, to answer your call.... He knows every heartache, sees every tear, A word from His lips, can calm every fear... Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night, But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light... The Savior is waiting, somewhere above, To give you His grace, and send you His love. May God fill your everyday walk with blessings.Monday, February 8, 2010
THREE-FOLD RESTORATION
A miracle is something that requires divine intervention; it cannot happen by human means. Although we usually associate "miracles" with physical healings, let's consider tonight, the miraculous work of restoration that God does in each of us every time we fall into remorse or regret over something we've done.
Look at the example of Peter. We know that after he betrayed Jesus he was a very unhappy man, but we seldom realize that there were three parts to his restoration...and each one was a miracle!
First, Jesus forgave Peter with a total forgiveness that could only be of God. Second, after Peter tried to "drop out" of discipleship because of remorse, Jesus restored him to undivided fellowship with his brothers. Third, Jesus restored Peter to service and gave him a new commission!
How did He heal and restore Peter? By asking Peter to reaffirm his love for Him, Jesus said, "'Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?' 'Yes, Lord,' he said, 'you know that I love you.' Jesus said, 'Feed my lambs.' Again Jesus said, 'Simon son of John, do you truly love me?' He answered, 'Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.' Jesus said, 'Take care of my sheep'" (John 21:15-16, NIV).
Are you in a slump of regret ? Have you done something that has made you deeply remorseful? If so, then know that Jesus is offering you the miracle of His three-fold restoration of forgiveness, restoration to fellowship, and a fresh commission for service...

MANAGEMENT BY VISION
Have you ever heard the term "Management by Objective" used in business to describe the integration of a worker's personal goals with those of his company? I believe that God, like the president of a large company, wants us to utilize these goal-setting tools in the building of His Kingdom. But it's hard to be excited about setting goals if you don't have a clear vision of what God wants to accomplish through you!
Has lack of vision and, thus, lack of objectives subtly haunted you, night after night, as you've wondered just where you're going with God? If so, then I'd like to talk for a moment about what I call "Management by Vision." You see, God has two sets of visions for each one of us. The first is His overall vision that applies to every one of His children. The second is that unique, personal vision of what we, as individuals, are to do. God described His "general" vision for everyone to the Apostle Paul. Referring to the unsaved, Paul said it was, "To open their eyes, that they may turn from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may thus receive forgiveness and release from their sins and a place and portion among those who are consecrated and purified by faith in me. Wherefore...I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision" (Acts 26:18-19, AMP).
Pray for God to give you a revelation, deep in your spirit, of the vision He has for you. Once you are under God's "Management by Vision," you'll be surprised how easy "Management by Objective" will be...

WHAT IS TRUTH?
When Pilate was interrogating Jesus, Jesus told him that He had come into the world to testify to the truth. Pilate asked Him, "What is truth?" (John 18:38).
How would you answer that question? What is truth to you? So many times sleeplessness sets in when we confuse the facts about our lives with the truth...and there is a difference! You may be depressed, have a heart condition, a troubled marriage, a divorce or an empty bank account. These may all be facts, but there is only one Truth. His Name is Jesus, and He has come to overcome them all.
Pilate was so busy looking at the "facts" of his life that he missed Jesus! He saw the fact that letting Jesus go would get him into trouble with the Jews, leading to trouble with Caesar. He failed to see that Jesus could free him from all this bondage to politics. For Jesus alone was, "Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named above every title that can be conferred not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come. And He has put all things under His feet..." (Ephesians 1:21-22, AMP).
What are the "facts" of your life tonight? Before you go to sleep, take them to the Lord and ask Him to overcome them in the power of His Truth! The Truth will set you free...
