MOBILITY WORKS

Do you have any problems to take your love one who are handicapped for vacation or just to enjoy the warm weather watching sunset in the beach? Or any where like restaurants, and other places where they can relax and feel fresh air.  I remember when we visited my friend's mother who is in nursing home and we wanted her to take to a restaurant for her birthday. It is very hard to put her in wheelchair in a small car.  Now there no problem at all after how easy to how this handicap vans works. Now my friend has an easy day everytime she take her mother out of the nursing home. So folks if u have love ones who are in nursing home facility don't forget to give them freedom to enjoy life outside the facility.

MIAMI VICE

Thanks to Wm Rowe We were recently invited to an 80’s party for our friends 40th birthday. Of course, the objective was to come up with the coolest, most representative outfit there. We racked our brains for hours. Being just toddlers and early elementary kids in the 80’s we had to search history to revive the past. Most of our memories were or the 90’s which were equally as eye catching. We finally stumbled upon the shows our parents watched when we were young. The first one we thought of was Miami Vice. Wouldn’t Crockettand Tubbs make a sultry mark on any party? The thought of it just makes me want to rush out on a Miami beach in my white Armani suit and turquois t-shirt and bring back style at its best. I wonder if satelivetv has a channel that still airs the reruns? Did you know that Macy’s even ran a Miami Vice line when the show was popular? That was definitely more affordable than the cars they drove. So now our search is on for the famous look that the 80’s just couldn’t shake.

CHILDHOOD OBESITY AND TV

Thanks for the guest post by Jonathan Curtis I recently heard Michelle Obamaspeak about Childhood Obesity in America, and she offered some good strategies on how to address it. I think, however, the first step should be to eliminate how much tv is available to kids, because we know that when you watch tv, you aren’t active. All you have to do is go to DIRECTV.com and browse the listings and you will see show after show geared toward children. It didn’t use to be that way. When I was a kid, it was just Saturday mornings, really, that kids’ tv programs were even on. Now that have shows available for kids to watch from the time they wake up in the morning until the time they go to bed at night. I know this is a free country, and we have free speech and all that, so I don’t know if this could even be changed, but it sure seems to me like a big root of the problem. You can say it is up to parents to regulate, but most parents aren’t.

GOD IS FAITHFUL

I cannot remember a time when Christ has not been faithful to me. I could sit and tell you hour after hour the wonderful ways in which He has shown His love. He has been my constant Companion when I dont have anybody beside me. God is always with me when I dont have nothing. I remember when I kneeling down beside my bed one night having devotions and saying, "Lord, I know You have Your hand on me for service. I don't know where You want me to serve You or how; but whatever it is, I am willing to do it." I also cried out from my heart to the Lord that night. "Even if it means being alone, I am willing to be alone." I was that committed to being in His will. The Lord has never, for one moment, failed me in any way. He has been Friend, Comforter, and my Source of joy and strength. Yet, the Lord is faithful and He will strengthen (you) and set you upon a firm foundation and guard you from the evil (one). Be faithful to your commitment to Him. Honor Him with your life, be obedient to His Word and sensitive to His voice, and He will be faithful to meet all your needs and bless you abundantly...

NEVER ALONE

There are times in this modern society full of busyness and rush when, in spite of the crowds that may press in around us, we are gripped with the terrible pain of loneliness. It seems ludicrous and contradictory to exist in the midst of masses of people and yet feel so alone. But, this is a sad fact of our times. Invisible walls are erected as people struggle through life trying to avoid any additional commitment or responsibility which would tax their already over-taxed schedules and their over-extended emotional and physical resources. Many times, wrapped in self-pity, we fail to appreciate the One Who draws near and always goes with us. It is through the knowledge of His everlasting presence that we can transform the insecurity of loneliness into the security of aloneness with God. Pour out your loneliness to this Friend Who is closer than a brother. You will find that Jesus will share Himself with you in a new and deeper relationship. The captivity of loneliness will be overcome, and you will experience a new joy in His fellowship and companionship as your personal Friend. With our finite minds it is hard to comprehend that there is a Friend Whose love is infinite – Whose love cannot be earned. How then can you measure this love without price? And here is how to measure it: The greatest love is when a person lays down his life for his friends.

ONE STEP AHEAD

Have you ever considered the importance, in warfare, of having a good spy network, intelligence, CIA? With a better spy network there might never have been a Pearl Harbor or Vietnam. All truth is parallel. If we want victory to avoid spiritual Pearl Harbors, we must learn to receive information from God's master spy network, the Holy Spirit. ...whatsoever he (the Holy Spirit of God) shall hear; that shall he speak; and he will shew you things to come . God wants us forewarned of the enemy's plots, so we can delight in His loving, watchful care. Surely in vain the net is spread in the sight of any bird..." (Proverbs 1:17), when God tips you off as to what your enemies are planning. He did it for David as he prayed (I Samuel 23:12). He did it for King Jehoram through the prophet. He did it for Paul through his nephew (Acts 23:16). He did it for Morris in Madras, India, through a strong witness in his spirit. God revealed to him the strategy the Hindu priests planned to use to destroy the crusade. But the Word tells us God's spy network can also function In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men...Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction (Job 33:15, 16). Jesus never met Satan by chance and never met him unprepared. The sweetest dreams we can have are those in which God unveils to us the truth we need to defeat our spiritual enemies.
