THROW IT OUT

Are you a regular traveller? Do you travel so much that it seems like you always packing suitcases. With the luggage laid out on the bed, You begin: This "little thing" and that "little thing." I remember the time before I came here in the US. I never think I'm packing much until I try to pick it up. It weighs a ton! Walking with it seems impossible; running with it would be absurd. Yet that's exactly how "weights" of pessimism and negativity which block our relationship with God, are established. Bit by bit, this "little thought" and that "little thought" that isn't of Him gets shoved into the "suitcase" of our mind. Each small act of choosing your own negative or pessimistic thoughts over His thoughts of faith and hope add one more weight. Soon your soul is so oppressed that fellowship is lost. In the night you doom the next day by deciding, "Things won't get any better. Tomorrow will be just like today. What's the use?" God to set us on the road to freedom in everyday of our lives. He wants us to start throwing off those weights of pessimism and get back in the race! He's telling us, "lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith... Before we sleep everynight , think of one "weight" (pessimistic attitude) that you will refuse to carry anymore. Then call on the Lord for His strength and throw it off! Tomorrow we will rejoice in freedom from oppression..Help me Lord to do it in myself..

Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

MY ABBA, MY FATHER

Many of you have had wonderful dads, but there are many others who is feeling lost and uncertain as to what a father really is. Like me I lost my Dad when I am seven years old. To some, "father" means someone to avoid out of fear; someone who was never around; someone who criticized or condemned you, or even someone you never knew. God wants you to see Him as your Heavenly Father in a fresh, new light. Like me I always longing for a fatherly love but I found God is "a father of the fatherless" (Psalm 68:5). Why did this passage have such an effect on me? I was not an orphan, but had always felt like one. "I never experience how it feel that your father is there when you need to ask question about boys espcially during my teenage days. I never knew what it was like to have a real dad." But I am so glad that I have my ABBA that always there to listen to all my cry out. He is always there to forgive me everytime i made mistake and He never forsake me. The word "Abba" means "father" in the English language, and He is unlike any father you have ever known! May you soon come to know Him in this wonderful, new way...
