SURRENDER AND LEAN

Juggling priorities can be a major cause of stress. What should you do first? What can be postponed? How will everything get done? These thoughts can churn far into our everyday life. That is why, to me, the most fascinating woman in the Bible is the "virtuous woman" of Proverbs, Chapter 31. Twenty one verses are devoted to this lady and most of it to her schedule! Yet she's never hassled or under stress. Why? How does she do it? The Bible tells us she "reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord." What does that mean? What does fearing the Lord have to do with making a tremendously busy life run like a clock? It has to do with surrendering and leaning. She holds the Lord in esteem and says to herself, "I don't really have it all together...my ways of trying to figure out what's first and what's last; what to do and where to go, are not what's going to make me succeedbut the Lord will guide me." As the scripture says, "Lean on, trust, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind, and do not rely on your own insight or understanding. In all your ways know, recognize and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths" (Proverbs 3:5-6, AMP)..
Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
Proverbs 31:29-31(KJV)
