GET WELL SOON MOM

My mother in law was in a nursing home for nine years already. She is 83 years old, but in spite of her age she is very jolly and beauty conscious. She loves jewelry, perfumes and make up. However, within the last two days, she was brought to the hospital for some pain and because my husband siblings are in Florida, both his older brother and sister we are busy visiting her every day. Today we stayed in the hospital for almost 2 hours and she is happy that we are here in NYC at the time that she was hospitalized. Please pray for my mom. Get well soon MOM.

NEED NEW VACUUM CLEANER

My friend's Auntie needed a new vacuum cleaner because the old one that they had is no longer usable. They decided to take us shopping with them to buy one in the nearby Kmart. While my husband and his friend are looking for an
affordable and handy vacuum, I am busy looking for something for myself. I found this black lingerie and I told my husband to buy it for me. He became so silly because he will buy this for me if I will pose so he can take pictures. So here I am posing for my black lingerie.
while afterwards my husband and his friend continued shopping for a Vacuum. And aside from that I bought some stuff also.

Because we are in New York City visiting my inlaws, I checked my pictures, and want to share some pics of Lady Liberty. Maybe not only I, but mostly everybody wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty in New York City. When I came here I told my husband that if possible I want to visit the statue. And these are some of the shots we took. Actually all the pictures we took at that time were shot by a Filipina that we meet there.

WEEKENDS SNAPSHOTS

This is the George Washington Bridge. You can find this bridge between the border of New Jersey and New York. Aside from that, for me it is a mark that a long drive of over 11 hours from Michigan to New York is over. Our last trip was February 12, before Valentines day. On this trip it is quite different because when we reached the bridge as you can see in the picture, there is a build up of traffic, so I got my camera and took some pictures. After many times of going back and forth from Michigan to New York, I always tried to take a picture, fortunately this time I had the chance.
This is the history of the Bridge....

Groundbreaking for the new bridge began in October 1927, a project of the Port of New York Authority. Its chief engineer was Othmar Ammann, with Cass Gilbert as architect. The bridge was dedicated on October 24, 1931, and opened to traffic the following day. Initially named the "Hudson River Bridge," the bridge is named in honor of George Washington, the first President of the United States. The Bridge is near the sites of Fort Washington (on the New York side) and Fort Lee (in New Jersey), which were fortified positions used by General Washington and his American forces in his unsuccessful attempt to deter the British occupation of New York City in 1776 during the American Revolutionary War. Washington evacuated Manhattan by crossing between the two forts. In 1910 the Washington Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution erected a stone monument to the Battle of Fort Washington. The monument is located about 100 yards (91 m) northeast of the Little Red Lighthouse, up the hill towards the eastern bridge anchorage. When it opened, the bridge had the longest main span in the world; at 1,067 m (3,500 ft), it nearly doubled the previous record of 564 m (1,850 ft), which had been held by the Ambassador Bridge. (The record has since been exceeded numerous times.) The total length of the bridge is 1,451 m (4,760 ft).
As originally built, the bridge offered six lanes of traffic, but in 1946, two additional lanes were provided on what is now the upper level. A second, lower deck, which had been anticipated in Ammann's original plans, was added, opening to the public on August 29, 1962. This lower level has been waggishly nicknamed "Martha."[8] The additional deck increased the capacity of the bridge by 75 percent, making the George Washington Bridge the world's only 14-lane suspension bridge, providing eight lanes on the upper level and six on the lower deck.
The original design for the towers of the bridge called for them to be encased in concrete and granite. However, due to cost considerations during the Great Depression and favorable aesthetic critiques of the bare steel towers, this was never done. The exposed steel towers, with their distinctive criss-crossed bracing, have become one of the bridge's most identifiable characteristics. Le Corbusier (Charles-Edouard Jeanneret) said of the unadorned steel structure:
The George Washington Bridge over the Hudson is the most beautiful bridge in the world. Made of cables and steel beams, it gleams in the sky like a reversed arch. It is blessed. It is the only seat of grace in the disordered city. It is painted an aluminum color and, between water and sky, you see nothing but the bent cord supported by two steel towers. When your car moves up the ramp the two towers rise so high that it brings you happiness; their structure is so pure, so resolute, so regular that here, finally, steel architecture seems to laugh. The car reaches an unexpectedly wide apron; the second tower is very far away; innumerable vertical cables, gleaming against the sky, are suspended from the magisterial curve which swings down and then up. The rose-colored towers of New York appear, a vision whose harshness is mitigated by distance." (When the Cathedrals were White, 1947.)

It's weekends again... and here is some of my weekly snapshots. Saturday afternoon after we arrived home from dinner I noticed the size of the moon is so big, so I grabbed my camera and take a few shots of it. First it is hard to get the image because I can't see it in my camera screen, so I asked my hubby to take one for me and this is the result. It's amazing because the moon is so big. It is really important to have our personal camera wherever we go so in times like this we can capture some unusual images.

GROUP UNITES MUSLIMS, CHRISTIAN FOR PEACE

CWN.org - KAUSWAGAN, Philippines
In the southern Philippines, the military is fighting a group of Muslim rebels.
The Moro Islamic Liberation Front wants parts of the island of Mindanao declared a Muslim enclave.
In the midst of the violence, a Muslim village that used to be a haven for the rebels is now sowing peace.
Before the year 2000, no christian could enter Delabayan.
Now, Christians and Muslims shake hands in the name of peace in the village that used to be a haven for the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
The Muslim residents hated all Christians, especially after soldiers burned down their houses in an all out war against the MILF. Read more

Young students like Jasmin Moner had to stop going to school when their families were displaced.
"I saw soldiers fire their guns. Pregnant women give birth and did not have food, no water," she remembered. "What was worse is that even if we were not the enemy, Christians looked down on us. They turned away from me."
Good Arises Out of Bad
But something good came out of this for the residents of Delabayan. The Christian organization, Project I.S.L.A.M., acronym for I Sincerely Love All Muslims, helped the Muslim villagers rebuild their houses and their lives.
Pastor Lad is Project I.S.L.A.M.'s dedicated worker in Delabayan.
"Our desire is to help the Muslims, to reach out to them in love and by doing so bring reconciliation between the Christians and the Muslims," he said.
War Draws Delabayan's People Closer
A few months ago, nearby villages were being evacuated because of heavy fighting between the military and MILF rebels in their area.
That's when a special bond between the Christians and the Muslims.
"We valued our Christian brothers coming here in the tension brought about by the atrocities by the MILF telling me the Christian community are praying for us," Sultan Kamlon Moner said. "Also, the Muslims here were praying for our Christian brothers."
Moner strongly believes that their children should be educated. This is why he is very grateful for the free college education that the youth in receive through Project I.S.L.A.M.
Learning to Love
His daughter, Jasmin was one of its scholars and is now working as a social worker in a Christian school.
"This is now my passion to help the people who helped me," Jasmin said. "I realized that if Christian people can help Muslims then why can't Muslims help the Christians. I also want to show Christian children that Muslims can be their friends."
Because of Jasmine's success, her brother Margani who was a MILF rebel for several years, decided to leave the renegade group and join mainstream society. He is now a scholar of Project I.S.L.A.M-- a sophomore taking up criminology.
"It was in a youth camp of Project I.S.L.A.M. that I learned to forgive my Christian brothers," Margani said. "I chose this course because I want to help maintain the peace and order in our community."
Through the years of sporadic fighting between Muslim rebels and Christian soldiers, the village has significantly been spared.
And Project I.S.L.A.M. is a sign of hope that people, regardless of culture and religion, still long for peace.

THIS IS A GOOD NEWS FOR US ALL CHRISTIANS...

REMEMBER YOUR VALENTINE

Valentines Day is fast approaching and I want to share a story about who is Mr. Valentines .,
Valentine was the name of a young man lived in Rome many, many years ago during the time when people were killed for following Jesus.
But Mr Valentine did what he could to protect his Christian Friends. He loved others. he helped them eventually gave his life for him. But after a time he was caught and put in prison. In prison he gave his heart to Jesus and sent messages to his family and friends saying "Remember your Valentine" and "I Love you" .
Because of this, he was clubbed to death on February 14, 269.
Like Mr Valentine Jesus also loves others- so much that he gave His life for us.

In Romans 5:8

"God's demonstrates His own love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ(Jesus) died for us.. So my friends don't forget your valentine where ever they are.

FINALLY OUR MUSIC MINISTRY IS APPROVED

Few days ago I am so busy assisting my husband in preparation of all the documents regarding the registration of our Gospel Rock Music Ministry called LORDSBERG MINISTRIES. This is a 501(c)3 none profit organization whose main goal is to reach the lost soul to know Jesus Christ through their music. And because of this we are planning to move back to New York City to concentrate in the ministry. But we always lift to God whatever plan we have.

ANOTHER BLESSINGS

If you remember my old post about our first blessing (free 6 packs of bagels/bread) on January 01. And now before the first day of this month we get another blessing (free cakes). Yes... 3 boxes with 6 cakes inside. Maybe you will wonder how it happen. Okay friends here's the story. While my husband is on the road one driver of a reefer full of 3 tier wedding cake layers talking on his CB radio asking anybody wants a free cake? And some of the drivers answer back (one is my husband) where he park his truck. And after some talk back and forth, my husband went to the parking lot where the reefer park. And the driver just given away a file of cakes. My husband got 3 boxes only.

Actually in this picture we ate already one small piece. And it is really good with coffee. So we planned to bring some cakes in the church to distribute. And we are very thankful that God always have something for us. He never forsake us even in the times of trouble. I wish we can share this free cakes with coffee to all of you.

WEEKLY SNAPSHOTS

January 30,2009
Cops are all over the place to assist all broke cars on the road, many cars in the ditch. This is the scenario in I-94W last week. These are the common problems you can see on the road this winter season. Many driver's cannot control their car on the icy road.
And some drivers have no discipline at all. In spite of the bad road condition , you can see some of them are on the phone, some are texting. It's a horrible experience to see cars sliding into the ditch. So be careful driving on
the icy road..
